Hello, I'm Meredith Mpinga!
I come alongside adults who are overwhelmed by their emotions, experiences, and environments, and equip them to experience confidence, freedom, and joy - even amidst the messiness of life.
My counselling approach is holistic and centered on you as a client - understanding your story, building on your strengths, and helping you live a life of full of meaning, aligned with your values.
I specialise in integrative faith-based therapy, combining my passions for psychology and theology.
I'm a therapist, speaker, pastor's wife, and mama to three little ones.
In 2012 I established Meadowinds Counselling Services to create a restorative space for people.
My passion for companioning people comes from a belief that everyone is created by God with value and a purpose. I am a follower of Jesus, and am happy to integrate faith into our work together if you are looking for counselling from a Christian perspective.
I'm here to come alongside you to explore what's going on and work through the struggles you are facing in an authentic, insightful, empowering, and compassionate way.
Before starting my private practice I counselled women fleeing domestic violence at a shelter in Calgary. I have also supported adults with developmental disabilities in a group home setting, volunteered in counselling centres in Ottawa and Calgary, and helped with Rainbows, a great program for kids whose parents aren't together.
Now, I am honoured to companion my clients, walking with them into a new chapter of growth and restoration, equipping them for the rest of their story.
Originally from the woods of northern Ontario, I grew up the youngest of 4 kids in a pastor's family. After high school I travelled back and forth across the country for further education. Since meeting my husband in grad school, we've made our home in a small town just north of Calgary, Alberta with our three young kids.
I value meaningful connection, being creative, and continually learning and growing. And if I'm honest, coffee should probably be added to the list!
